Maybelline "Mable" Manuel, age 92, passed away on December 1, 2019 in Columbus, TX. She was born to James Thomas and Mattie (Blanchard) Griffin on September 8, 1927 in Wortham, TX.
Mable worked for Southern Pacific Railroad for 47 years at various positions, including office clerk. In her free time, she enjoyed country dancing and country music. Her favorite thing was being with family. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Mable was preceded in death by: her parents, James and Mattie Griffin; brothers, Virgil Griffin, J.D. Griffin, Ovia Griffin, Monroe Griffin and William "Bud" Griffin; and sisters, Lela Northcutt, Katy Ballard and Josephine Voth.
Mable is survived by: daughter, Linda Davis and husband Wayne of Houston, TX; granddaughter, Debra Felty and husband Thomas of Columbus, TX; great grandchildren, Cody Sloan, Ryan Smith and Kathrine Sloan; great great grandchild, Rex Sloan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Henneke Funeral Home with Pastor Victor Morrison officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery.
